The day started off at the luxury apartments of the Hotel Villa e Palazzo Aminta. I knew that that wedding was going to be something memorable.
Esmeralda and Mattia came from London to Italy to get married in one of the most beautiful location of the lake Maggiore, in Baroque style hotel. They went to visit Stresa and the lake on their first trip together, celebrating their 7 months together. It was exactly 6 years ago in that place. They have been together for 6 Years, growing together, living together, and waiting for the perfect time. And that moment has come. I met Esme at the hotel room. She opened the door dressed as a bride and I was impressed by her calm and the simplicity with which she told me, excited, her expectations of the day that was about to start. There was a spectacular and unique view from its terrace.
One of my favorite moments of this destination wedding in Italy was the first look, which took place in a historic church. There was like straight out of a movie: delicate gestures, loving eyes and gently whispered words. The ceremony was really touching and the speeches made us laugh, bringing some happy tears. What a day! It was raining but that weather didn’t stop us from having an epic day! I always tell my couples that they should never rely on the weather, and if it rains we will still have an incredible day and the photos will look amazing, as long as you keep smiling. The vibe was truly great and it really shows in all the images.
We took a cruise of the lake by vintage boat. That allowed us to feel instantly glamorous and enjoyed Como lake and many historic villas that dot its shores. During the boat ride we took some of my favorite pictures: the couple seemed to have come out of the scene of a movie. The party was one of the highlights of this wedding. All the guests absolutely smashed it and kept the energy going all evening. I loved the energy and happy vide we had through out the whole wedding.
Happy tears, lots of hugs, laughs and a party until midnight. The day was as perfect as if it was scripted for a movie.
